In this webinar Patrick McGinley with the aid of a MasterCAD: BIM generated 3d model, describes the purpose and function of a Concrete Shear Wall detailing how the wall provides lateral stability to structures including best practices, loading failure mechanisms plus some information on the design methodology for piers and coupling beams using the MasterSeries range of modules including MasterKey: Concrete Slab and Wall Design. Andras Herbay also covers a demo of the Concrete Slab and Wall Design module for the design of a typical Shear Wall.
