Emi Iliganoa PRITCHARD competing at the Siva Afi Aotearoa Fireknife Competition 2026.
Emi Iliganoa Pritchard is a 14-year-old student at ASDAH (Auckland Seventh-Day Adventist High), representing the villages of Sala’ilua (Savai’i), Iva, and Vaigaga. In 2024, Emi placed first in the Junior Girls’ category at the Toa Ole Afi Pati Levasa Fire Knife competition in Brisbane. In 2025, Emi won first place in the Siva Afi Festival Intermediate Mix. Later that year, she travelled to Hawaii to compete in the World Fireknife Championship Open Women’s Category, where she placed third. In November, at the inaugural SIVA AFI TAHITI International Women’s category, Emi secured first place, capping off a busy and successful year. Emi is coached by Popea Lautala.
