Hello, I’m Faith from Faith ’n Grits! I’ve always wanted to create a journal inspired by Edith Holden’s Country Diary, and I’m finally diving in. The “EH style” is full of delicate botanicals, graceful hand-lettering, and a colour palette drawn straight from nature—where every season has its place.
In today’s video, I’m starting the construction of the book cover for Echoes of Edith. Using greyboard (chipboard), fabric, and cardstock, I’m building the base structure and sharing my process along the way. I’ve sped through the tedious bits like gluing, so you can see the progress without the wait. Part 2 will follow soon, where I’ll finish the cover after the signatures are bound in.
