Warwick Powell's Brief Bio:
Warwick began his career in academia, teaching Chinese history and European cultural history at Griffith University. He graduated with First Class Honors and is the recipient of the prestigious University Medal for Academic Excellence. He was also awarded a Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade scholarship to undertake postgraduate studies at People’s University, Beijing. He deferred his studies to begin work for Kevin Rudd in the Queensland Government.
His work is at the intersection of digital innovation & technologies and international political economy, with a focus on the implications, possibilities, and dynamics of distributed ledger and blockchain technologies. He has particular interest in the place of China in the future of international economic and social systems.
He's the author of China, Trust & Digital Supply Chains, published by Routledge.

Einar Tangen's Brief Bio:
Einar Tangen is a CIGI senior fellow and a widely recognized commentator on global political and economic affairs, with a focus on China’s evolving role in international governance. A former lawyer, entrepreneur and investment banker, he currently resides in Beijing, where he advises on urban planning, economic strategy and cross-border investment. He is the founder of China Cities Bluebook Consulting and a principal at DGI/SMP Design, an international infrastructure and design firm with offices across Asia and Europe.

With decades of experience spanning China and the United States, Einar has held senior roles in government, law and business. Previously, he served in numerous public roles in Wisconsin, advised Chinese and Korean investment agencies, and chaired the State of Wisconsin’s International Trade Council. In China, he has been a guest lecturer at top universities, including Tsinghua University, Peking University and the University of International Business and Economics; consults with regional development zones; and contributes to Chinese state and academic publications. He authored The Kunshan Way, a foundational text on Chinese municipal development, and his latest book profiles Beijing’s Fengtai District as a case study in localized growth within a global system.

Einar earned his juris doctor from Marquette University Law School, his bachelor of arts in English from Lawrence University, and completed his A-levels in English, economics and history at St. Edward’s School in Oxford, UK.
