STEM Laboratory Nears Completion at David Kaunda School

The US$1.3 million laboratory under construction at David Kaunda National STEM Secondary School is expected to be completed by the end of July this year.
Education Minister DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA toured the construction site in Lusaka today.
Mr. SYAKALIMA expressed satisfaction with the progress of the works, saying the laboratory will strengthen the delivery of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics –STEM- education at the school.
The project is being funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency -JICA.
Meanwhile, BCHOD–MCI Consultants Resident Engineer JOSEPH SITALI said the project has reached 55 per cent completion.
Mr. SITALI explained that plastering works are currently underway, while roofing is expected to commence soon.
And David Kaunda National STEM Secondary School Head Teacher MAUREEN TONGA thanked the Government for the 30 computers the school has received this year through the Constituency Development Fund.
