Lusaka Integrated Waste Management has encouraged residents of Lusaka to engage in plastic waste recycling.
The company’s Public Relations Manager, SIRRE MUNTANGA, says waste recyclers play an important role in effective waste management across the city.
Ms. MUNTANGA explains that plastic recycling not only helps protect the environment but can also provide a reliable source of income.
Meanwhile, waste recycler ROBERT MWANZA says he earns more than four thousand kwacha in profit each week from his recycling business.
Mr. MWANZA told ZNBC News that he has so far employed 22 workers, contributing to job creation within the community.
