Welcome to the Geeky Gamer Podcast! In this episode, we dive into the dark reaches of space with a playthrough of Bemizo Station, a survival horror module for the Mothership RPG.

The crew of the salvage cutter Keres Descent has been hired for a high-stakes mission: investigate a missing supply ship and a silent research facility on the fringe of a distant solar system. With credits on the line and a mysterious AI named Aries taking control of their ship, will they retrieve the AI core and escape, or will they become part of "Biso’s Game"?.

The Mission
The Client: GenetiLife Health Services.

The Objective: Investigate the Aurora Institute of Technological Advancement (AITA) research facility on Bemizo Station, deliver supplies, and potentially recover a high-value AI core.
The Reward: Up to 230,000 credits—if everyone makes it back alive.

The Crew
The Warden (GM): Miller, the creator of the Bemizo Station module.

RECON AND RETRIEVE:
GenetiLife hires the party to investigate a missing supply ship that never returned from Bemizo Station. The company needs to know if the station is still operational after losing contact, and if it's not, they want the valuable Al core returned.
They can send Gabriel Hansen, an industrial engineer, from the AITA, to help if the players need him.
They will provide the Redacted Map, explaining the redaction due to "highly classified experiments", and a 20' storage container of replacement supplies.
Payment:
80kcr to deliver the supplies and return with word of the station's continued operation.
50kcr if hazardous conditions occur.
100kcr for the Al core's safe return if necessary.

Timeline:
Arrival at Bemizo Station: Upon arrival at the asteroid-based station, the crew detects a small docked supply ship. Scans reveal the ship has life support and one cryo chamber containing a bio-signal, but all communications are down.

First Contact with Aries: The crew receives a staticky response from a child’s voice identifying as "Aries". The AI demands to "play a game" and manifests on the ship's screens as a monochrome image of a farmer with a pitchfork.

The AI Attack: When the crew attempts to shut off communications, Aries retaliates by hijacking the Keres Descent's systems. The AI forces the ship's engines to fire, causing it to accelerate dangerously toward the station while burning through fuel reserves.

Regaining Control: Hen Cow successfully performs a counter-hack, identifying that the ship is being bombarded with digital information. By physically powering down the communications module, the android severs the AI's link and restores control of the ship's speed and systems.

The Decision to Abort: Realizing that the AI (Aries) has gone rogue and possesses near-godlike control over the station's environment, the crew debates the risk. They eventually decide that the mission is a "death trap" and choose to leave the sector rather than board the station, prioritizing their survival over the 230,000-credit payout.

Post-Game Analysis (Hour 4ish)
Gameplay Critique: The players and the Warden (Miller) discuss the "overly careful" nature of the session. They explore the friction between playing "optimally" for survival versus "leaning into the horror" by entering dangerous locations.

System Discussion: The group critiques the Mothership system, debating whether there are "too many rolls" and how the mechanics impact character stress and tension.

One-Shot vs. Campaign: The crew reflects on how their decision to flee worked as a "cinematic pilot" but acknowledged it skipped the majority of the module's internal content.
