As a Nancy Prophet Fellow at the RISD Museum of Art, in Fall 2020 Tayana Fincher presented her curated exhibition, It Comes in Many Forms: Islamic Art from the Collection. This exhibition creates new views on transnational secular dialogues and diasporas combining textiles, decorative arts, and works on paper dating from the 1100s to 2005 - some of which have never been displayed before. Fincher discusses her explorations into the exchanges that proliferate difficulties which often define arts and attest to the pluralism of Islam and its complex of multiple expressions.
