Amos 5: Amos mourns what the Israelites have become. His lament is GOD’s pain in HIS people not turning back to HIM. He preaches a mournful sermon on their wickedness, GOD’s love and their rebellious nature. He sings about their religion of obligation vice a faith with freewill obedience. A sad song and one we see needs to be sung for our nation and society today.
