In this video, I read from the Lives of the Saints as commemorated on Monday, January 26, 2026, according to the Orthodox Church in America (OCA) Saints Calendar. Today’s saints and commemorations include:
Venerable Xenophon, his wife Maria, and their sons Arcadius and John of Constantinople, known for their simplicity of soul and goodness of heart.
Translation of the relics of Venerable Theodore, Abbot of Studion, remembered for his steadfast faith and monastic leadership.
Saint Xenophon of Robeika, disciple of Saint Barlaam of Khutyn and monastic leader.
Martyrs Ananias the Presbyter, Peter the prison guard, and seven soldiers in Phoenicia, who suffered for Christ under persecution.
Saint Simeon “the Ancient” of Mount Sinai, an ascetic known for his life of prayer.
Saint Joseph, Bishop of Thessalonica, brother of Saint Theodore of Studion, remembered for his ascetic life.
Blessed David IV, King of Georgia, who laboured faithfully for his people.
Saint Theodore of Ajareli, commemorated among the saints of this day.
Saint Paula, venerable mother and monastic founder who lived in humility and prayer.
Please forgive me for my reading — I am not a professional narrator. This recording is shared humbly as part of my own spiritual journey and is offered freely, without monetisation, for accessibility, quiet reflection, and the spiritual encouragement of all who wish to listen.
May the prayers of the saints commemorated today be with us all.
