Описание: Iranian born, Indian raised Azam Ali has confirmed her place as one of the most prolific, versatile, and gifted singers, producers, and composers on the international stage today. Together with Iranian multi-instrumentalist/composer Loga Ramin Torkian, they pioneered the cutting-edge acoustic/electronic music group NIYAZ which became an instant world music sensation.

Taking inspiration from the exhibition Persia; Ancient Iran and the Classical World, Azam and Loga curated a very special, intimate performance for the Getty Villa which featured a collective of extraordinary musicians as well as immersive visuals projected on the façade of the Villa Museum.

Persia After Hours was a special performance series at the Getty Villa in Los Angeles that highlighted musicians, poets, DJs, visual artists, and dancers inspired by Iran’s rich culture and history. The series – which took place over three Summer nights in 2022 – seamlessly blended the past with the present for a unique immersion into the Iranian arts. A highlight of each evening was a featured performance in the Villa’s iconic outdoor theater.

This series complemented the exhibition "Persia: Ancient Iran and the Classical World"(April 6 through August 8, 2022), https://www.getty.edu/art/exhibitions..., and was presented by the J. Paul Getty Museum in collaboration with Farhang Foundation and UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music.
