Two rarites on one train - coal in Manitoba and a pair of bright yellow EMD / Progress Rail demonstrator locomotives. I headed west to the tiny community of Reaburn, Manitoba to capture this eastbound coal train as it hauled BC black diamonds toward Thunder Bay, Ontario.
My drone was being harassed by some local birds as it waited for the train to arrive. Fortunately they left, perhaps scared off by those powerful SD70ACe-T4 locomotives easily hauling the long coal train over the Canadian prairie.
I like those bright yellow and white locomotives. Hopefully they stay clean enough around that coal! I know the tail end locomotive, a red CP loco, was pretty grimy.
Consist: EMDX 7225 with EMDX 7208 mid train and CP 8919 on teh tail
Location: Reaburn, MB on the CP Carberry subdivision
