Ask Lee: When should you the smith machine vs a free weight barbell?
Some people believe that free weights are the best because they put your body in a real 3 dimensional lifting environment and provide more muscular stimulation.
Others believe that machine exercises are better because they can work the muscles from different angles and ranges of motion, and they are generally safer to perform.
But what about the smith machine should this be done in place of free weight barbell exercises?
Well like a lot of things, there is no "right" or "wrong" answer. It all depends on the individual and the training situation. And that's what you'll learn in this episode of "Ask Lee" :-)
