Sewing 18th Century accessories, with the American Duchess book!

Описание: Next for my Historically Accurate Demelza Poldark outfit, I needed to sew all of the little finishing touches that make a historical costume look like it's come out of a portrait. Using the patterns and instructions in the American Duchess Guide to 18th Century Dressmaking, I made a simple day cap, ruffles for the neckline and sleeves, and a silly-looking skirt support called a False Rump or "split bum". These were sewn on the machine and only hand-finished, so if you've read the book and were overwhelmed by handsewing everything, this video is for you!
With the stockings, pocket bags, and fichu (neckerchief) I already had, these were all the extras I'd need to round out my outfit.
