In this video, I give an in-depth tutorial on installing Ubuntu (Linux) on your Chromebook. The video is a bit lengthy, but is very thorough. Between it and the description below, you should have everything you need here in one place to get Ubuntu up and running on your Chromebook.

Commands to Install Crouton (do not type parenthesis):
Open Crosh Terminal: Ctrl+Alt+T then type "shell"
Next, type: " sudo sh -e ~/Downloads/crouton -t unity"
- or -- "sudo sh -e ~/Downloads/crouton -t touch,unity" ----- for touch interface
Once completed, type: "sudo startunity"

Mouse Fix (disappearing cursor):
From Terminal, type: "sudo cp /usr/share/icons/DMZ-White/cursors/arrow /usr/share/icons/DMZ-White/cursors/watch"

Mouse Fix (Poor Response - probably unneeded):
