Union Pacific 4-8-4 FEF-3 #8444 was renumber from 844 because the union pacific has a new diesel was gp30 has a number 844. Now 844 has to add another 4 to add and it 8444 with 4 numbers. UP 8444 pulls American Freedom Train with 26 cars. Along with a Union Pacific black auxilary tender number 907853. I know 8444 never pull american freedom train only few years ago back in 1969 8444 did pull a Golden Spike Centennial Limited on May 10th from Salt Lake City to Ogden for the Golden Spike ceremony.
