Delhi Police Special Cell busted a terror module linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in a multi-state operation. Eight suspects were arrested in the crackdown, including seven Bangladeshi nationals. The suspects were found in possession of Indian Aadhaar identity cards, police said. The operation foiled a planned terror strike in Delhi, authorities stated. Investigation is ongoing to determine how the Bangladeshis obtained fraudulent Indian IDs. The bust highlights concerns about identity fraud and illegal immigration tied to terrorism. Intelligence inputs had earlier prompted a heightened terror alert in the national capital. Some arrested suspects were allegedly planning attacks on crowded religious and heritage sites. Police allege involvement of Pakistan-based handlers directing the terror network. Phones, SIM cards and forged documents were seized during the coordinated raids.
