India rolled out its first ever national anti-terror doctrine named PRAHAAR. PRAHAAR aims to strengthen coordination among agencies to tackle terrorism and related threats. The doctrine includes focus on cross-border terror, cyber threats and drones. It was unveiled by the Home Ministry after consultations with security establishments. PRAHAAR emphasises a multi-pronged approach combining prevention, response and rehabilitation. National Security Adviser Ajit Doval said the doctrine will evolve with changing threat scenarios. The doctrine highlights intelligence sharing and real-time information flow. Prevention of radicalisation and deradicalisation frameworks are part of PRAHAAR goals. The strategy integrates both security forces and civilian stakeholders. PRAHAAR seeks to make India’s anti-terror ecosystem more proactive and dynamic.
