Описание: A dry start on a Jeep JL with a 3.6L Pentastar engine occurs because the factory oil filter and its housing allow oil to drain back to the pan after the engine is shut off, leading to a lack of lubrication for several seconds on the next startup. This repeated dry start can cause wear on valve train components, such as cam lobes, lifters, rocker arms and phaser gears. To prevent this, you can install a Baxter Performance adapter, which converts the cartridge filter to a spin-on type with an anti-drainback valve to keep oil in the top of the engine, ensuring immediate lubrication upon startup.
