In this video, I attempt to restore my 25-year-old Type R headlights using only the detailing products I already own — no headlight restoration kit, no gimmicks, no toothpaste 😅. I sand, compound, polish, and ceramic-coat the lenses… and honestly, I didn’t expect this result.

The yellow is gone, but the clarity still isn’t where I want it. So the real question becomes:
👉 Is this user error… or are these headlights just too far gone after decades of sun damage?

I also test a trick with alcohol to diagnose whether the remaining haze is surface-level or internal degradation — and the answer might surprise you.
