Football is well known for bringing people together across different backgrounds. What if we told you poetry can too?
The National Literacy Trust and Premier League Primary Stars are excited to invite you to meet award-winning poet Joseph Coelho alongside radio DJ, host and presenter Lauren Layfield to explore the theme of diversity and how it can be celebrated through poetry.
This free, inspiring online workshop took place on Tuesday 9 December and connects football and literacy by using the No Room for Racism campaign as a lens for pupils to reflect on how football brings people together and to create their own poetry celebrating that greatness comes from everywhere. This online workshop will help pupils to begin planning and writing their own poems using some fantastic free resources:
