The kind of cookies that disappear straight from the tray.
Simple, cozy, and absolutely irresistible.
Ingredients:
115 g unsalted butter, melted and cooled
100 g light brown sugar
60 g granulated sugar
1 egg (room temperature)
1 tbsp vanilla extract
150-160 g all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
250 g semi-sweet chocolate
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 12–15 minutes
Note:
Do not overmix the dough, or the gluten will develop and the cookies will turn cakey instead of soft and chewy.
Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes. For a richer caramel flavor and deeper color, chill the dough overnight. The longer the dough rests, the deeper and more complex the flavor.
