After disassembling a car door panel I found the armrest french seams laid flat. To get it so the seams were cut very close to the line of sewing stitches.
The technique to avoid bulky seams can be used on dashboards, door panels, armrests, consoles, etc.
This technique must not be applied on car seats. It works out for pieces laid flat which do no suffer tension.
This method is very usefu to get a flat and nice look of our job.
We should be very careful of not cutting too close to the line od stitches.
The depression line we did with the leather skiver 1 cm from leather edge should be wide enough to house the line of stitches and close trimming to the seams.
