We took advantage of the beautiful winter sunshine to follow a 5.5 mile circular walk from Porthtowan beach on the north coast of Cornwall, passing through old mine workings and arriving at Chapel Porth for a pit stop.
We chose this route hoping to avoid really muddy paths. The walk instructions showed a fair amount of road walking with some sections through woodland. How muddy was our walk? Would it be passable after a wet winter? Or will Andrew end up in the stream?
