This talk confronts the quiet, normalized structures of power that shape women’s lives long before they are named. Through raw questions, personal vulnerability, and unapologetic confrontation, the speaker reframes patriarchy not as chaos, but as a rigid, man-made order designed to silence. The speech argues that what society labels as “disruptive” — women’s anger, refusal, discomfort, and confrontation — is in fact the necessary chaos from which a fairer order can be built. By addressing passivity, privilege, and microaggressions, the talk challenges both men and women to recognize their responsibility within this system. Ultimately, it reframes speaking up not as aggression, but as self-respect — and positions confrontation, however uncomfortable, as an act of collective care and radical self-love. Alesia has one passion that encompasses all the others: being heard.
She has always pursued activities that give a voice to those who are ignored, guided by the belief that acknowledging one’s privilege means taking responsibility for those who are less fortunate or have had fewer opportunities for education.
She is currently studying law, driven by a desire to understand the foundations of the justice system and the state, with the ultimate goal of one day helping to reform them for the better.
Beyond law, she has a deep love for the arts in all their forms and hopes to combine her passion for educating young people with her creative, out-of-the-box thinking. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
