A 330 Foot High Tsunami at 17,000 Feet; India's Himalayan Floods

Описание: A towering tsunami just occurred at an elevation of 17,000 feet within India. The culprit was retreating glaciers which had destabilized a section of a lateral moraine at South Lhonak Lake. This led to more than 150 kilometers of a riverbed being flooded, more than 1 billion dollars in damage, and the destruction of the major Teesta III dam (which is located at 5,100 feet elevation approximately 60 kilometers downstream of the South Lhonak Lake).
