KYNANCE COVE - ACCESSIBILITY introducing the new SWCP Accessible route

CAR PARK USED: TR12 7NQ This is at The Lizard, Village green parking. Room for 20 cars approx and it runs at the moment on donations.
You can also park at the Kynance Cove car park where there are more parking spaces, national trust prices apply unless your a member.

TOILETS: Disabled toilets by The green Car park, The Lizard. At the kynance cove Car park too

DISTANCE: 4 miles 40mins each way depending how fast you go

RATING: There is a new pathway that the national trust have done which is classed as accessible. I personally would highly recommend that you have someone with you. Trampers managed to do the new path well. On my off-road electric wheelchair I struggled in a few places and needed a push.

Lets hope National Trust provide a tramper to hire which would be amazing.

CAFE: There is a lovely cafe at the bottom of a winding slope with some loose gravel.
The trampers again managed fine. I still needed a few shoves.
There are also toilets down there but I wasn't aware one was disabled.

VIEW POINT: So there is a lovely accessible view point which overlooks the cove. Its a high elevations and not far from the Kynance cove car park.

POINTS: It is a lovely place and very peaceful, please be mindful I am very sure in peak season it will be very busy.
You can choose to go on the road if you find that easier from the lizard or just park at the lizard car park.

We really enjoyed our day and had a lot of laughs.

So grateful to the Cornwall Rolling Ramblers and the south west coast path for letting us join in on their adventure. You may catch them on their fabulous trampers and serious off roaders.

RECOMMENDATIONS: I personally would say that wheelchairs would definitely struggle on the new pathway on the coast path. The terrain and the loose gravel was hard for me at times.
I am very sure that changes will be made and tweaks to this footpath as the years go buy.
