Описание: September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Considered a national public health crisis, suicide is a leading cause of death in the U.S., affecting people of all ages, with far-reaching impacts.

And while suicide or even suicidal thoughts can happen to anyone, there are some negative factors that can play a role in a mental health crisis. Including discrimination, economic hardship, and barriers to mental healthcare access.

Alan Mednick, LivingWorks Education Suicide Prevention Manager for Southeast Florida joins us in studio to share how to talk about suicide, the warning signs and risk factors, and how you can help someone in a mental health crisis.
