Raja Ampat to the Philippines | 72 Hours of Travel

Описание: Today we are beginning 72 hours of travel from Raja Ampat to the Philippines!

Yesterday was our final day in Raja Ampat and we took it easy at our place, we hopped on some kayaks and went on one final snorkel at a nearby homestay.

While we are very sad to leave this beautiful paradise, we are really excited to be heading to our 10th COUNTRY of the Philippines. We have quite the long travel journey ahead of us and that starts with a 2 hour ferry ride back to Sorong.

We spend the night in Sorong and catch an early morning flight back to Bali the following day. We have a connection in Makassar with a 6 hour layover so we make it back to Bali pretty late. We had booked a guesthouse near the airport for the night where we stored our bags before leaving for Raja Ampat. We walk around 1KM to the guesthouse, check in, get our bags reorganized, and finally get some sleep.

We have an early wake up call because our flight from Bali to Manila is around 8:30 AM. We make it to Manila around noon but we are not done just yet. We won't be staying in Manila, we are actually heading further north on the island of Luzon to Banaue and we have booked an overnight bus for tonight.

We post up in a hotel lobby near the bus station for several hours and get some work done before catching the 10PM bus. It is probably pretty aggressive to have booked a night bus after nearly 3 days of traveling, but luckily (and despite the freezing cold), we manage to get some sleep. :)

We arrive in Banaue around 6:30AM and after around 72 hours of travel, we make it to our guesthouse. We have some coffee and breakfast, get checked in and rest for the afternoon. We are so excited to be here and will be starting on quite the adventure tomorrow!
