A walk in the very north of Hampshire on the Berkshire borders to probably the best known house and parkland in Hampshire and bar Buckingham Palace, possibly the UK.
Explore the rolling hills and woodlands of this 5000 acre estate made famous worldwide by the Downton Abbey TV series and films. This is a very versatile walk which can be adapted to suit you. In the summer permissive routes around the estate mean you can explore more and possibly drop the road sections to the north. Or you can extend the walk to the Wayfarers walk in the south. The choice is yours.
The walk starts and finishes at The Carnarvon Arms, Whitway and is approximately 6.75 miles long.
