Starts & finishes at The Bat & Ball, Breamore. (SP6 2EA). Approximately 5.5 miles.
This is one of those Hampshire walks that has everything. Nestling in Hampshire's Avon Valley, between The New Forest National Park and Cranbourne Chase there is beautiful river scenery, the very well preserved Breamore Halt on the old disused and little known Salisbury & Dorset Junction Railway and a beautiful Elizabethan mansion sat in rolling parkland which you are able to visit. There is also a quaint little cafe at Breamore House, a farm shop and a really interesting museum with recreated street scenes, shops and workshops and the largest collection of traction engines, tractors and farm machinery you'll find anywhere. There is also a 12/13c mizmaze if you want to slightly extend the walk.
