Yes, you're reading that correctly. AI burgundy did indeed form Lotharingia and then bullied the hell out of me. I have no idea how they managed it, but they did and now no one cares about little Montferrat restoring Byzantium and vassalising the Ottomans. This EU4 challenge was thoroughly derailed by the likes of EU4 England, EU4 Spain and EU4 France deciding to step up to the plate.
