Breastfeeding Tips for INVERTED or FLAT NIPPLES - How I breastfed 2 babies with inverted nipples

Описание: Having inverted nipples or flat nipples can be an additional challenge when it comes to breastfeeding. Breastfeeding can be difficult for anyone, but it's an added challenge when you have inverted or flat nipples. When I was a teenager, I was told I may never be able to breastfeed with my inverted nipples, or breastfeeding might help drawing the nipples out. Turns out, with a lot of work, I was able to breastfeed and barely have inverted nipples.

During pregnancy, I suggest starting the work for the baby and using either Supple Cups or a Hakaa to help draw the nipple out ahead of time. A midwife suggested Supple Cups to me and I was able to break up the nipple adhesions in advance so my son didn't have to do all the work. The Supple Cups were amazingly helpful. When using them, you will want to lubricate your nipples with coconut oil and gradually work up to longer periods of time. Check out the Amazon reviews for a lot of tips on how to use.

Once your baby is born, a nipple shield can also super helpful with getting the baby to latch, especially if you have a shorter nipple. It helped tremendously with my son, but my daughter would absolutely refuse to use the nipple shield. She also would only be able to latch onto one boob because the nipple was too short.
