This drive takes place in the Appalachian Mountains of beautiful West Virginia at the start of Forest Road 44 in the historic town of Durbin, and ends at my camp at the ghost town of May, passing through three other ghost towns along the way, while hugging the West Fork of the Greenbrier River. This is an unpaved single-lane road like most Forest Service roads, but when the ground is fairly dry it is easily navigable without a 4x4 vehicle. This is public land within the Monongahela National Forest, and there are many areas to do dispersed/primitive camping as well as some amazing trout fishing in the Spring and Fall when the river is stocked.

Music in this video not otherwise noted is produced and copyrighted by Oak Studios, Samuel Orson and/or David Hyde. Orson is an experimental guitarist from Seattle, Washington. With his unique approach to the acoustic guitar, he is able to create soundscapes and melodies unlike anything I've found. He is best known for his 120 Days of Music Project, where he composed, arranged, and recorded a studio quality song every day for 120 days.
