If you have flour and milk at home, you can make these soft, golden, bakery-style bagels with simple ingredients. They turn out fluffy inside, beautifully shiny outside, and perfect for breakfast or sandwiches.
Ingredients:
Water: 200 ml
Milk: 200 ml
Egg: 1
Sugar: 40 g
Yeast: 8 g
All-purpose flour: 550–600 g
Salt: 10 g
Oil: 20 ml
Method:
Mix water, milk, and egg. Add sugar and yeast and combine. Add half of the flour and salt, mix well, then gradually add the remaining flour until the dough comes together. Add oil and knead until soft and smooth.
Let the dough rest until doubled. Divide into equal portions, shape into balls, and let them rest briefly. Shape into bagels as shown in the video, place on a tray, and let them proof again.
Brush with egg yolk and yogurt mixture, then bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20–25 minutes until golden.
