In this video, I’m refreshing two tall patio planters and showing you exactly how to choose the right plants for containers 🌼
These planters sit in a north-east facing garden close to the house, so they’re mostly in shade with some morning sun. I explain how I use the method of structure-filler-spiller for choosing plants for a container. I chose compact evergreen Euonymus for structure, added shade-loving filler plants like ferns and primulas, and finished with trailing plants for softness. 🌸
I also show how to refresh compost, arrange plants depending on viewing angle and plant up properly so your containers thrive.
