In this problem we continue to work with the Lotka-Volterra predator-prey model, here performing an analysis of the prey growth term. Namely, in the absence of predators, the prey growth term results in an exponential growth of prey. Is this realistic? We then consider the use of a logistic growth model instead, and the effect of the carrying capacity. In the next screen cast we will implement this in the Lotka-Volterra and resolve.
This is Exercise 10.3 and 10.4 from my text "Introduction to Chemical Engineering Computation with MATLAB."
