In this problem we compute (1) the change in entropy of an ideal gas upon compression from a known T1 and P1 to T2 and P2, and (2) solve for the final temperature of the case of isentropic compression. Both are examples of using the built-in MATLAB function integrate to numerically integrate Cp/T.
This is Exercise 13.1 from my text "Introduction to Chemical Engineering Computation with MATLAB."
