Dr Sormanni discusses recent advances from his research group on how computational approaches can complement traditional in vivo and in vitro methods of antibody discovery and engineering.
The seminar outlines data-driven models for precise epitope targeting, assessment of antibody and nanobody nativeness and their humanisation, and the simultaneous optimisation of multiple biophysical traits (stability, solubility, affinity). These advances streamline antibody development, and improve success rates in identifying diagnostic and therapeutic candidates.
