ASP PRESENTS:
USMC Map and Dispatch Cases
The Map and Dispatch Case was issued primarily to Marine Officers. It was used to carry maps, a message book, envelopes, pens, and pencils. QMDP manufactured them from World War 1 until early World War 2. They were flimsy in design and did not hold up well in the rigors of combat; however, the Boyt Company manufactured cases that were of better design. The Boyt Company continued to manufacture such cases up until the Vietnam War.
The Boyt company manufactured Map and Dispatch Cases during the war to the Marines.
