Eating 100% whole food plant-based is an extremely difficult and unlikely undertaking. The likelihood of eating something at some point outside of these parameters is sadly high. But, when giving in to temptation and eating something you regret there are a number of strategies you can use to get back on track with your healthy diet plan asap! Following a minor indiscretion with less than optimal foods can be mitigated in the following ways: 1. Juice fasting, 2. Mono-diet, 3. Water fasting, 4. Detoxing foods, 5. WFPB diet. These strategies will help reset your neural circuitry and your tastebuds when it comes to getting back to your healthy foods asap. Prior to attempting these options, however, it is also important to acknowledge that these incidences are practically inevitable and happen to nearly everyone. It's better to simply acknowledge the mishap and move back in the whole food plant-based direction as soon as you realize you ate something less than optimal.
