In this video, I discuss what to look for when purchasing a pre-workout supplement. The purpose of a pre-workout is to improve my training performance by providing a bit more energy and allowing for one or two more reps or sets throughout the workout, which may lead to slightly better gains over time. However, it is important to note that a pre-workout supplement will not provide significant or crazy performance-enhancing benefits, and that other factors such as nutrition, training, and recovery are more important. I also advise to avoid proprietary blends, as these do not provide information on the amount of each ingredient and may underdose important ingredients.
