El Zaguán Presents George (Ofuskie) Alexander showcases a powerful collection of acrylic paintings that highlight the artist’s mastery of realism while incorporating impactful surrealist symbolism. Ofuskie’s work serves as a medium for self-discovery, merging a visionary humanitarian perspective with Indigenous values. His art inspires conversations around unity, compassion, and the quest for a harmonious and equitable world. The works explore universal themes such as time, dreams, landscape, identity, humanity, and the animal world. Through his unique contemporary lens, Ofuskie creates stunning, hyper-detailed images that challenge viewers to find common ground and reflect on their personal roles in fostering a sustainable and interconnected future.

“The primary focus of my work is to understand myself as a human being,” says George Alexander (Ofuskie). “Through my practice, I’ve come to believe that the more you understand yourself, the more you can contribute to society. This is the true function of art—to initiate a conversation that transcends the object itself and carries on into future generations. As I explore my connection to humanity, I find more commonalities than differences and hope to contribute to a worldwide movement that truly transcends the social constructs that keep us artificially divided.”
