𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞. 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭
Na stops in Wenen, Zürich, Dresden en Berlijn strijkt Critical Care. Architecture for a Broken Planet, een tentoonstelling van Architekturzentrum Wien, neer in Antwerpen. Aan de hand van 21 internationale spraakmakende projecten toont de tentoonstelling hoe architectuur en stedenbouw kunnen bijdragen aan onze toekomst. Projecten uit Afrika, Europa, het Nabije Oosten, de Caraïben, de VS en Latijns-Amerika worden samengebracht en gegroepeerd in vijf thema’s: ‘zorg voor water en land’, ‘zorg voor publieke ruimte’, ‘zorg voor talent’, ‘zorg voor onderhoud’ en ‘zorg voor lokale productie’. Elk project behandelt een concrete problematiek. Of het nu om een rurale of stedelijke ruimte gaat, allen herdefiniëren ze de relatie tussen werk, economie en ecologie.
Tekeningen op groot formaat, objecten en video’s geven op een tactiele manier een inkijk in het ontwerpproces, de uitvoering en het uiteindelijke gebruik.

De tentoonstelling Care for Space for Care is het Belgische antwoord op Critical Care. Ze belicht negen recente projecten uit Vlaanderen en Brussel met een focus op het proces, de betrokkenen en het voorafgaande onderzoek. Care for Space for Care doet je nadenken over de ecologische en sociaalmaatschappelijke rol van architectuur, aldus Hülya Ertas, curator van de tentoonstelling Care for Space for Care.

Double exhibition Caring Architecture - A walk through the exhibition with the curators.

𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞. 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭
Following halts in Vienna, Zürich, Dresden and Berlin, Critical Care. Architecture for a Broken Planet alights in Antwerp. Via twenty-one sensational international projects, the exhibition demonstrates how architecture and urban development can contribute to our future. Projects from Africa, Europe, the Near East, the Caribbean, the US and Latin America are brought together and grouped into five themes: ‘care for water and land’, ‘care for public space’, ‘care for talent’, ‘care for maintenance’, and ‘care for local production’. Each project deals with a specific problem. Whether set in a rural or urban space, all redefine the relationship between work, economics and ecology.
Large-scale drawings, objects and videos offer a tactile insight into the design process, the execution and the ultimate usage.
