Pluto is one of the many Dwarf Planets in the Solar system and is the largest among them. Pluto was once considered as the ninth planet in our solar system. But its position had been demoted to Dwarf Planet in 2006. Pluto is about 600 crore km away from the sun. Due to this distance, it is very difficult to see Pluto from earth. So, inorder to study Pluto and its moons, NASA sent a spacecraft known as the New Horizons Space Probe in 2006. New Horizons reached Pluto in 2015, after 9 years of journey. New Horizons Probe sent us thousands of amazing images and footages of Pluto and its moons. It also found many other characteristics and features of Pluto.
