8वें वेतन आयोग के गठन के बाद से केंद्रीय कर्मचारियों की उम्मीदें काफी बढ़ गई हैं। इसी बीच देश के प्रमुख ट्रेड यूनियन संगठन ऑल इंडिया ट्रेड यूनियन कांग्रेस (AITUC) ने आयोग की अध्यक्ष जस्टिस रंजना प्रकाश देसाई को एक विस्तृत पत्र लिखकर कर्मचारियों से जुड़ी 12 महत्वपूर्ण मांगें सामने रखी हैं।
इन मांगों में फिटमेंट फैक्टर को 3.0 करने, ओल्ड पेंशन स्कीम (OPS) को फिर से लागू करने, और सालाना वेतन वृद्धि (इंक्रीमेंट) को दोगुना करने जैसे बड़े प्रस्ताव शामिल हैं। कर्मचारियों का कहना है कि इन कदमों से उनकी आर्थिक स्थिति मजबूत होगी और महंगाई के असर को कम करने में मदद मिलेगी।

Since the formation of the 8th Pay Commission, expectations among central government employees have risen significantly. Meanwhile, the country’s major trade union body, the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), has submitted a detailed letter to the commission’s chairperson, Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, presenting 12 key demands related to employees' welfare.
These demands include major proposals such as increasing the fitment factor to 3.0, restoring the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), and doubling the annual salary increment. Employees believe these measures would strengthen their financial security and help them cope with rising inflation.
