केंद्रीय कर्मचारियों और पेंशनभोगियों के लिए 8वें वेतन आयोग को लेकर चर्चाएँ तेज हो गई हैं। केंद्र सरकार ने नवंबर 2025 में नए वेतन आयोग के गठन की प्रक्रिया शुरू की है, जो मौजूदा 7th Central Pay Commission की जगह लेगा। 7वां वेतन आयोग साल 2016 से लागू है और इसी के आधार पर अभी केंद्रीय कर्मचारियों की सैलरी, पेंशन और भत्ते तय किए जाते हैं। नए 8th Central Pay Commission का मुख्य उद्देश्य कर्मचारियों की सैलरी, पेंशन और भत्तों की मौजूदा व्यवस्था की समीक्षा करना और उन्हें वर्तमान आर्थिक परिस्थितियों के अनुसार अपडेट करना है।
