Cara Rehab Tech is a digital rehabilitation platform designed to support patients with home exercises. The aim is to motivate patients to adhere more to their exercise programmes, in order to get the best results, and maximise value for healthcare providers.
Using wearable technology and expertise across clinical, computer and data science domains, Cara’s single sensor approach provides technique-based feedback to the user, and objective data for the clinician.
Currently prototyped for knee replacement rehabilitation, Cara Rehab Tech is looking to develop its exercise library, machine learning algorithms, and user interfaces whilst investigating the impact Cara can have.
This technology has been developed by Rob Argent, Insight Centre for Data Analytics at University College Dublin (UCD).
The commercialisation of this technology is being supported by NovaUCD.
