Path: parking at Umito, close to Acquasanta Terme (AP), 630 m. We take the road along brook Fosso della Montagna. Follow indications for Prata waterfall, walking beside Rio delle Prata. After Prata waterfall, come back to main route. Pass refuge Scalelle (820 m). Reach a natural cave called "Fornetto“, a old oven for baking bread. At 1.220 m you can see Volpara waterfall, that fall from a height of 2.073 m from Mount Macera della Morte. Difficult to approach due to dense vegetation and fallen trees. Return for the same route
Length: 14 km (return). Difference in altitude: 860 m, from 630 m to 1.220 m
Level: difficult (E: Hikers), due to the length and slippery ground, especially in winter
