When you look at the scale and grandeur of some of the UAE's projects it seems incredible that only a hundred years ago, most of the UAE was desert and houses here were made of palm fronds or coral.
Now a specially curated exhibition showcasing 100 years of the UAE's architectural history will be presented at the prestigious Venice Bienale early next month.
Priyanka Dutt caught up with the curator of the 'Lest We Forget' initiative to get a sneak peek at Emirati history.
